Medical @ Old Parks
Medical @ Old Parks is made up of a dynamic team of physiotherapists, Biokineticist and massage therapists who provide personalised, evidence-based care that gets you moving and performing at your best.
Whether you are young or old, starting in your movement journey or on your way to the Olympics we want to help you move the best you possible can.
We take a scientifically holistic approach to human movement and performance. We recognise that science has taught us the vital role of the brain and nervous system in pain, movement and injury. Yet much of therapy and exercise remains firmly entrenched in the body. At Medical @ Old Parks we are as interested in your brain as much as we are in your body, because neither can work without the other. We think in order for anyone to feel really great they have to able to balance easily, react quickly, and move efficiently.
Deidre Ras Biokineticists
Deidre Ras Biokineticists believe muscles work together in synergy along myofascial lines and make sure to restore functional movement patterns in all three planes of movement. We use a variety of modalities to treat imbalances including the use of isokinetic testing and training on our Biodex System, functional movement retraining as well as kinesiology taping applications to bring attention to the body area.
Our mission statement at Deidre Ras Biokineticists is “MOVE BETTER MOVE MORE,” which reflects our goal of improving the quality of our patient’s lives by teaching them how to move optimally. We empower our patients by educating them about the human body and how to take the best care of their body.
